Cropped flares, compliments of my scissors.*
How was your Thanksgiving? Full of family, friends and food I hope. We had a whirlwind of a week, Thanksgiving for 20, a birthday, and the beginning of the end of the school semester (final projects and papers for everyone here). This morning we attempted to feel the Holiday spirit by setting up the Christmas tree and playing the soundtrack from Nightmare Before Christmas. We found the box of ornaments and tree lights, and leaned wreaths against the walls where they eventually will be hung. I’m thinking that counts as decorating (almost), so I’m marking it off my list until finals are over.
The weather here is slowly becoming more like a SoCal winter. I can actually wear one of my “SoCal friendly” pea coats at night while I’m at school. I’m talking low 50s people. Yay! When I lived in Indiana, this coat would do nothing for you during a polar vortex, but here, it passes the keeping-me-warm-test when it’s under 70. Brrrrrrr
